Frequently asked questions

Who can take part in LSEMUN?

Our conference is open to all university students, both undergraduate and postgraduate. Sixth-formers and high school students may participate in some cases, however, due to limited capacity, we reserve the right to decide this on a case-by-case basis.

What is the maximum delegation size?

We do not impose a maximum delegation size and instead encourage societies to send delegations, so that as many universities as possible may compete for the new Best Delegation Award. With this in mind, we ask that head delegates email and give us guidance on how many delegates they are bringing.

Is accommodation arranged for us?

As the conference will take place online, people can join through zoom from anywhere in the world. Therefore, accommodation is not necessary to book unless you would like to join our in-person socials, which are completely optional. These socials will take place in London, and whoever has the opportunity to join can purchase our Social Pack for the price of 40 GBP.

What is the dress code for the conference?

We ask that delegates attend the opening and closing ceremonies in Western business attire, which also remains the staple of the conference. However, Crisis being Crisis, props and costumes will not be entirely ruled out, so feel free to get a little creative during committee sessions!

Where can I buy a social pack?

Social packs are available here:

Do I have to buy a social pack?

Whilst social packs are optional, we urge everyone to get them - following feedback from last year, we are working extra hard to ensure our socials are enjoyable, exclusive, value for money and give a good feel of the uniqueness of a London night out. Besides, as more experienced Crisis delegates will already know, many subtler decisions are made both over tea and whilst exporing the city!
